Pom pom Penguin

If you have been reading my posts recently you will know that I am really unable to convince little boys that pom-poms rock. I carried on making them anyway… gradually the fascination took over and Little B declared that he wanted to make his own.

He had very decided ideas of what he wanted to make. I am not sure whether his enthusiasm was born from creative inspiration or a genius tactic to avoid bedtime. A spurt of energy took over and before we knew it we were sticking our fingers together and cutting out little bits of felt. So finally pom-poms do rock – it they are Rock Hopper Penguins. So cute x

  1. How coooool Emma! Fab pom poms and even better bedtime procrastination project…we have many of those in our house too…procrastination projects and pompoms!
My fave for this time of year is to pop 4 pipecleaners through the hole before you tie it all up tight, add a couple of hole reinforcers as eyes after cutting, use the wool you tie it with as web thread… and surprise! – a spooky spider!
I have a magnificent purple cable knitted hat lovingly created in the 70s with a ginormous perfect pompom …perhaps I should be wearing it to follow fashion, funnily enough my son declined the opportunity last year!
    Ali x
