Inspiration in Action ~ From Pinterest to the Front Door

autumnwreath1I know I am a relatively late comer to Pinterest ~ I try with all my will and self-control to keep my on-line activity within a healthy balanced life (hollow knowing laugh). When I have a few idle moments I do like a quick guilty browse on the inspiration boards. One of my most favourite boards to follow is the curatorial musings of flower stylist Ingrid Henningsson. Her blog is very beautiful and I always enjoy looking at the images she collects. She pinned a lovely image of a hydrangea wreath last week, which was from the blog Elements of Style. With a few moments to spare this afternoon, I gathered the last of the fading blooms from our garden. I am so glad that I managed to remember. Hydrangeas are another of my favourite garden plants that look as beautiful as they dry as they did in their first flush. Over the past few weeks I have been collecting a few blooms and letting them dry in jugs and vases so that they naturally curl. So pretty with the most gorgeous faded colour.

I am sure my neighbours will think I have gone totally insane with a very early Christmas wreath, but what a lovely way to celebrate autumn colour
