What would you choose? – Shades for Stylecraft Aran and Chunky

stylecraftesp15.5

The Stylecraft range of DK yarn has proved to be a veritable boon for the crocheter. A fab range of colours, both bright and subtle. The quantity of yarn on each ball and the price means that you don’t have to break the bank to make a sizeable blanket. Obviously I have my favourite shades which I keep coming back to. Top of my list are Duck Egg, Mustard, Lipstick, Lobelia and Midnight.

Well the good people at Stylecraft are looking for suggestions from the knitting and crochet community of which shades they should use to extend their aran and chunky range.

For me, I always like a navy or a dark blue in my stash. I find that colour so helpful for making quick and easy hats. I also use a dark colour for crochet slippers and then I would choose Mustard to add a cool on trend pom-pom. A chunky grey or marl makes a lovely textured teacosy, especially with a fuchsia pom-pom. I must have the Duck Egg, because I have plans for a super snuggly blanket in that shade edged in a brick reg. Yummy. So there you go that is my choices and the reason why.
