A new old friend – Blush Babouska Cowl

A made a quick and easy home for my little pink corsage. I am the biggest fan of navy – but sometimes it is a dusty pink day. Especially when you are full of a cold…So I whipped up this quick and easy cowl using 1 x 50g of Sirdar Babouska Chunky in Cream. Then pinned on my much loved blush flower – cheap and chic. See the old limp home for this flower here

This pattern is so simple there is no need to create a PDF pattern

Blush Babouska Cowl – Emma Varnam

Materials:

1 x 50g ball of Sirdar Babouska Chunky (Cream)

1 pair 9mm needles

1 5mm crochet hook (optional)

Tapestry Needle

Tension: Don’t worry about this – just make sure that when you get to the end of the ball you have enough length to go round your neck. My tension is approx 12sts x 16 rows per 10cm x 10cm swatch.

Using the long tail method, cast on 30 sts. Work in garter stitch until you have approx 2m of yarn left. It is approximately, 71cm/28in long before being joined. Cast off loosely. Do to cut yarn. Bring the cast on and cast off edges together. Lay one end over the other. I have used a 5mm crochet hook to slip stitch both ends together. (Instead you could whip stitch both ends together, using a tapestry needle)  Fasten off and weave in ends.

Pin on your favourite broach/corsage. Wear with pride.

Couldn’t be more simple, couldn’t be more snuggly.
