I am celebrating the fact that my new books seems to be well received. Just so you can start making for Christmas, I will be giving away one copy to a reader of this blog. Would you  like to win a copy for your own book pile? If so please leave a comment below with a suggestion of a new animal or piece of clothing. I would love to hear your suggestions.

The winner will be picked at random on 1st November – Happy Thinking!

Additional Note: Lovely US friends, the US version of the book with your crochet terminology is available from Barnes Noble on 20th Oct 2016 – Great News.

Congratulations to Amanda – who won the giveaway! Thank you all for such amazing comments and ideas. Hopefully the publishers might think about another edition with a whole new family of animals. random-no-nov

What about a penguin? The one on the advert on television wears a coat and muffler and looks very cute! I would love to make that.

I think a pair of dogs would be a cute addition to the animal collection. Or something a little more exotic like aardvarks!

  4. A wolf please. My daughter adores them and always feels so upset that they are portrayed as the villain!

  5. My suggestion would be a Pug I think the black mask and fawn fur would look amazing crocheted

  6. A princess Swan in a tiara and a tutu because princesses wear tutus don’t they? Or a flamingo in flip flops and a mask and snorkel. A hippo in safari gear.

Hi I would like to see an otter in bright red mack or wellies. I also think that a zebra would be cool & you can design different clothes so that it can become a great stallion or a unicorn on those days when it wants to be something else for a day!

I’d love a koala with a little red gum boots and a cork hat 🙂 or a kangaroo!

  9. My first thought was an elephant (for my daughter) but maybe a hedgehog – or a spoted woodpecker as we have a regular visitor in the garden and the black and white and red is just so gorgeous.

  10. I would love to see a little onesie…to make the animals look like baby animals. x

  11. I would love to make an owl, and because owls are always portrayed as wise and distinguished creatures he should be wearing glasses, a waistcoat and bow-tie!

I agree with Lesley Jane Jackson – a greyhound with a lovely crocheted coat

  13. A kakapo. Lovely mossy green fat and dozy ground dwelling parrot from New Zealand. I could be a kakapo. I’ve got the fat and dozy pretty much sussed.

How about an adorable, floppy eared, pudgy, sweet and silly Labrador dog carrying her own little teddy bear 🙂

  15. A smartly dressed badger with a little waistcoat and plus fours and a walking stick.

  16. How about an adorable fire dragon? We crochet items for our foster kids that we serve and a dragon would work for either a boy or a girl. Plus it would give them something fierce to hang on to when they were scared.

An eight legged octopus dressed in an eight legged yellow rain mac and a yellow sou’wester!
