Summer Beauty

We have visited the majestic Lake District quite a lot this summer. But last weekend was a long bank holiday in Britain and we visited the wonderful West Country to see my folks.

This has a totally different landscape, the idyllic rolling hills, beaches etc. You can almost hear the strains of Elgar in the distance. We got to visit some of my favourite places, spend time in their glorious garden. Plus watch these cheeky chaps, waddling is always funny.

I have said before that one of my great delights is to learn something new. This weekend my father taught Little B to fly a kite, which was such a sweet thing to witness. Then he taught me. I discovered that flying a kite can actually be quite addictive. A couple of hours passed by as we enjoyed watching the kites in the sky. I will definitely be doing more kite flying.

Summer beauty, great memories.

  1. I love the idea that you are never too old to be taught something new by your father. How precious and lovely.xx
