I am slightly worried about my growing collection of pincushions. I try very much to avoid ‘collecting’ as part of my home life. But they are just too darn cute and so very practical. Over the past year yarnsters have contacted me to get hold of my Campervan Doorstop pattern. It occurred to me that it would be fun to make a mini version…Ding Ding, here comes the bus!
There is quite a bit of embroidery involved, but really no need to be too precious about it. I was tickled to think of pins forming the headlights and buttons for wheels. In face when Little B clapped eyes on it, he immediately took it downstairs and parked it amongst other vehicles in his toy garage. Looking at the photo I took this morning, I realised that it was difficult to tell what size it was, so not quite fitting on the head of a pin, but rather the lid of a jam jar. Now, this really must be my last pincushion!
