Stash Heap Challenge

Welcome to the Stash Heap Challenge!

I am looking to whittle down my own ‘out-of-control’ yarn stash, and would love it if you would like to join me.

In this series of videos I will be sharing a very basic and free crocheted granny square pattern and the design I am going to use to make a colourful stash-bashing blanket.

If you want to join me – I would love to see your creations. I’m going to share my progress with you here and some tips and tricks as the blanket grows.

JOINING SQUARES

Alternate colourful squares with a plain contrasting colour. Do not break off your yarn from completing a contrasting colour square and join your colourful squares WS facing, join the motifs from the back by working through the back loops only.

The blanket I have made is made into 6 colour groupings. For each main colours (red, orange, yellow,, green, blue and purple) I have used approximately 100g of yarn for that colour. I have used approximately 600g of cream yarn.
