How to Crochet ~ my new book

I am really excited to show you a sneaky peek of my new book. The lovely people at GMC were kind enough to ask me to write the ‘Crochet’ issue in their ‘How to…’ series. It was great fun and I have a few little pictures of some of my favourite projects. I have to say that writing how you crochet from scratch is not quite as simple as it sounds.

I was very disciplined and had a self-inflicted moratorium on looking at other beginners books. I really wanted my own voice to stand out. But it was quite hard to slow down my fingers to work out what I was actually doing with my hook and yarn. Those hands on the front cover are actually mine….this weekend my family were able to recognise them even though they are a sketch!

The book is out at the beginning of June, so I am being a bit of a tease. I will tell you more about the process and the projects included nearer the publishing date. But I hope you like it.
