Well if you have been following the blog for a while you will know that slight guilt has crept in. This is because I have a new nephew, but I haven’t really had time to knit him anything. My sister put in a request for a cardigan, and for fun I thought I would return to that icon of the knitting canon. The Baby Surprise Jacket. Its shape is created through increasing and decreasing. So this pattern is iconic. It is what I think all designers dream of – creating the ultimate pattern which defines a garment.
