What I will be wearing this autumn – The Brioche Cowl

Earlier in the week I blogged about my arduous journey with the Brioche Cowl. In typical me fashion, I finished it that same evening. Using the circular needle meant I hadn’t really appreciated its size. No wonder it was taking me so long. So after casting off and weaving in the ends, I jumped up from the sofa, I stood on tiptoe to look in the living room mirror and wound the cowl around my neck. Oh my – I love this little handmade beauty! So love it.

It’s a little stunner for the autumn. These colours are not totally me – but now I am dreaming of making another. A sneaky little ‘me’ project for the winter. If a friend tries to persuade you to make one for them, you must truly love them or owe them a big favour, because it does require commitment. But it would be their most favourite garment in the world.

  1. OH Emma! I love the colors, love the double wrap around length. I’m not quite positive, but that much brioche stitch at one go might have made me quite mad(der).
