This cute cake is just perfect for any celebration but there are none of the calories. Why not make this scrummy treat for a birthday or a special ‘thank you’.
The cake is worked in the round using the ‘amigurumi’ technique. It has a cream and jam filling. Puff stitches are used to create the piping and there is a delicious whipped cream topping and berry decoration. You can go one step further and add an everlasting crochet candle.

The height of the cake is approx. 15cm/6ins
To make the cake you will need some beige, white, red, navy and yellow cotton yarn. Some tinsel yarn to create the effect of the lit candle. I have used a 3.5 mm hook and some toy stuffing and cardboard to stiffen the base.
