Conway Scarf – Tadahh!

I am very excited about my little scarf, so finally I can show it to you in all its zesty gloriousness! Hurrah! This has been a project fizzing in my brain for so long. As I blogged before, I have been squinting at a lovely blanket made by Big B’s great grandmother. Looking, with head slightly tilted I have thought, wrongly, ‘I wonder if that pattern is made by a zig-zag of chain stitch’.

Well I have been staring at this blanket across the room for over a year. It took that long before I sat down on my bottom and worked out that; ‘Ah, it is a broken shell pattern!’ Genius. Anyway,  with the fashion for summer for bright colour-blocks and the wonderful zig-zags of Missoni appearing everywhere this is my addition to the summer wardrobe. I plan to take it with me on whatever summer holiday we go on because frankly in Britain you should never be without a scarf! I think for autumn I might make it again, using gray as a base, but with pink, orange and red as a contrast. Thinking, pondering, scheming…

I do hope you like it. The pattern is here if you are interested. Have a great weekend x
